Suits Season 6 Adds Guest Cast; Arrows Neal McDonough to Return (Exclusive)
Suits‘ sixth season is starting to take shape.
The USA Network legal drama has tapped Alan Rosenberg (L.A. Law), Malcolm Gets (Caroline in the City), David Hewlett (Stargate SG-1) and Ian Reed Kessler (Melissa & Joey) for new roles, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Additionally, Neal McDonough, John Pyper-Ferguson, Patrick Fischler and Aloma Wright are all confirmed to return for the upcoming season.
McDonough previously recurred as bulldog SEC investigator Sean Cahill. Pyper-Ferguson portrayed former senior partner Jack Soloff, who left the firm after Mike’s arrest. Fischler went toe-to-toe with Gabriel Macht as Harvey’s Harvard Law nemesis Eliot Stemple. Wright memorably entered the series last season as Gretchen, Louis’ (Rick Hoffman) replacement secretary for Donna (Sarah Rafferty).

As for the many new faces coming on board, Rosenberg will recur as William Sutter, a major Wall Street player who comes under scrutiny from the SEC for his surprising success. The actor is repped by Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management.
Gets will play Professor Dunbar, an ethics instructor at Columbia Law who gives Rachel (Meghan Markle) opportunities to demonstrate her legal skills both inside and outside the classroom. (Should fans be worried about that last part, given Rachel’s fiance, Mike (Patrick J. Adams), was just arrested? Gets, whose credits also include Confirmation and Elementary, is repped by Viking Entertainment.
Hewlett will guest-star as Nathan Byrnes, an energy sector CEO who has long sought Harvey’s representation despite his reluctance to bring him on as a client. The actor is repped by Patterson Talent Management.
Kessler will play Stu Buzzini, a Wall Street trader with a big personality who Louis is forced to tolerate as a necessary evil. The actor is repped by KMR and Main Title Entertainment.
Season six picks up immediately following the fifth season finale that left Mike behind bars. After signing a plea deal to spare his colleagues at Pearson Specter Litt, Mike must face the harsh realities of prison life as he starts a two-year sentence. Meanwhile, many of the Pearson Specter Litt partners have defected, leaving Harvey, Jessica (Gina Torres), Louis, Donna and Rachel to pick up the pieces. But before they can rebuild, they must deal with the fallout from Mike’s crime.
Suits is set to return Wednesday, July 13, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on USA.
